Aluminium Profiles

Aluminium Profiles are pre-formed aluminium sections finished in RAL9010 (white) polyester powder coated paint to 20% gloss. Manufactured from aluminium extrusions, preformed aluminium trims allow the designer to create interesting and imaginative architectural design effects within suspended ceilings and dry lined partitions.

Various types of aluminium profiles include angle trims, edge trims, reveal trims, shadowgap profiles, box sections, blind boxes, channel trims, upstand trims, recessed skirting trims, corner trims, curved corner posts,  flexible edge trims, transitional trims, feature trims, and bespoke radius curved trims are manufactured by a number of different companies based in the United Kingdom. Aluminium profiles are used to create architectural features within dry lined and suspended ceiling designs. They are either screw fixed or stapled to the substrate and allow the designer to merge one type of construction into another, and in the case of plasterboard, tape and jointed or plastered in to create a seamless architectural feature.  For example a transitional trim can be used for the transition between a plasterboard ceiling and a lay in grid ceiling, metal pan ceiling and lay in grid ceiling, or plasterboard ceiling and metal pan ceiling. Alternatively they can be used to simply create a shadow detail between 2 like typed ceiling areas.

Bespoke curved aluminium profiles can be formed to create unique and eye catching decorative designs and finish ceilings and partitions where they meet columns and over curved structures.
