A little bit of information of Kingspan Kooltherm Insulation.
The board uses as slender as can be insulation boards to achieve the required insulation values. It is also as fire resistant as mineral wool which makes it astoundingly safe. Its closed chamber structure resists both moisture and water vapour ingress – problems which can be associated with open cell materials such as mineral fibre and which can result in reduced thermal performance. Unlike mineral fibre, it is unaffected by air movement which will prevent it from experiencing problems which will reduce its thermal performance.
It is extraordinarily safe and quick to install – masks are not required, as Kingspan Insulation materials don’t produce loose dust or irritable fibres. Finally, like all Kingspan products , the Kingspan Kooltherm range is completely CFC/HCFC free and has Zero Ozone Depletion Potential.
Building a cost saving and enviornmental house is helped with the use of Kingpsan.
The Kingspan Off-Site’s Lighthouse design is the first to achieve level six of the Code for Sustainable Homes – which means the house is carbon neutral.
About a quarter of UK carbon emissions come from homes.
