DECKfon acoustic overlay treatments are specifically designed for conversion projects where the joist is covered with timber decking and the ceiling is to be replaced. They can also be used to reduce impact sound transmission through a concrete floor. These soundproofing overlay boards are available in three thicknesses: 17mm (17T), 26mm (26T), and 30mm (30T). They have been developed to enhance the soundproofing performance of existing timber floors in refurbishment developments.

Each DECKfon acoustic overlay board is installed on top of a timber sub-deck, which is laid on timber joists. The boards feature a tongue and groove edging and have a facing thickness of 9mm moisture-resistant MDF.
