Dowel Bar Sleeves are available from us with various diameters. What is a dowel? A dowel is a cylindrical steel rod. These dowels are designed to be cast into concrete to improve strength. They are placed over joins in concrete slabs in order to prevent cracking. Dowel Bar Sleeves are flexible PVC tubing that fits over the ends of the bars and slides into place. This debonds the Dowel Bars. They are quick and simple to fix and should cover at least half of the bar for full functionality.
