Fermacell 12.5mm SE

Fermacell Square Edge is available in 10mmand 12.5mm thickness which is a high performance multi-purpose building board that when installed combines the properties of solid blockwork with the speed and flexibility of conventional drywall techniques, letting designers use radical solutions in internal space planning.

This building board is stronger and denser than standard plasterboard and has a class 0 fire rating.

Being both moisture and fire resistant, as well as assisting with sound proofing, Fermacell boards are fitted and finished slightly differently to traditional plasterboard; thus, speeding up the installation time by reducing drying out times and providing a more user friendly finishing system with our FST (Fine Surface Treatment).

Used for interior use on walls, floors and even ceilings, but please be aware that they are heavy.

The impact of Fermacell boards is a severe duty product. With a greater acoustic performance often with less layers than plasterboard constructions providing slimmer partitions.

Fermacell boards are fixed at the following maximum screw centres:- (1) Wall 250mm (2) Ceiling 200mm. Use Fermacell Jointstik to join together and Fermacell Fine Surface Treatment for a 30 minute skim.
