FlameProof Fire Door Kit (Varnish) is a clear Intumescent Fire Retardant Varnish System that will upgrade 5 existing well constructed, solid (or sturdy) wooden interior door sides to 30 minute fire protection. No special application skills are required to use our product and each kit comes with a Fire Certificate of Supply to certify the level of protection. Our system consists of a clear water based 2 pack base coat and a clear single pack solvent based topcoat, that is available in a matt, satin or gloss finish. FlameProof Fire Door Kit (Varnish) is primarily designed to be applied to bare timber but can in certain instances be applied over good quality wood dyes or stains that are compatible with water based coatings
