They can either be attached via dot and dab or mechanical fixing. If attaching via dot and dab then they can be placed directly against a wall, whilst mechanical fixing would require using a timber or metal frame. We have a series of cavity wall insulation boards from Celotex. These rigid foam boards have aluminium foil facings on both sides, offering stellar thermal performance.
