JCW Acoustic Quilt is a high-performance partition roll that offers an average sound reduction in all applications of 22 decibels. Compatible for use laid over ceilings, suspended between timber floor joists, or fitted in metal and timber wall stud partitions. This quilt is availble in either 600mm or 1200mm.
In certain applications and build ups JCW Acoustic Quilt will perform even better. For example, in a single frame partition wall Acoustic Quilt will give a 50-decibel reduction in airbourne noise if it’s installed with 70mm acoustic metal studs, resilient bars and 2 layers of staggered acoustic plasterboard on each side.
Manufactured from mineral wool and an acoustic membrane, 2 layers of 25mm mineral wool sandwich a 2mm acoustic barrier. The acoustic barrier provides excellent soundproofing qualities with the mineral wool enhancing the overall performance thanks to its high levels of sound absorption.
