Our Delivery Options
We have a number of delivery options available depending on where you are in the country, the products you order and the suppliers used.
Next Day Delivery
This is generally only available for some of our products. Please check the product page for its delivery options. Be sure to complete your order by 10:30 am the previous morning for Next Day Delivery If not, your order may be delayed by an extra day.
For example, if you place an order before 10:30 am on Monday and choose Next Day Delivery at checkout, you should expect to receive it by Tuesday. If your order is placed after 10:30 am on Monday with Next Day Delivery, expect to receive it by Wednesday.
If you require Next Day Delivery for any products from our website, please contact our sales team.
Any orders placed on a Friday after 3 pm during a weekend or bank holiday will be processed the next working day.
Standard UK (Mainland) Delivery (2 - 3 working days)
Your order will be delivered Monday to Friday, between 7 am and 5 pm. We will aim to deliver your tools and building materials on the day you mentioned in your delivery note. As long as the address is in the UK mainland delivery area and payment is cleared by 12 pm the day before.
For example, if you place your order before 12 pm on Monday, you should expect to receive it by Wednesday or Thursday. If your order was placed after 12 pm on Monday, your order will arrive by Thursday or Friday. We cannot guarantee weekend delivery, but we may be able to arrange for this if discussed in advance. Give our sales team a call to check whether this can be organised.

If your online order has to be delivered to one of the areas above, you will receive a call from our sales team to discuss the delivery options available. This may involve extra charges. We have experience delivering to remote or difficult-to-reach locations around the UK. See our customer reviews.
If you are placing an order with a delivery address in Northern Ireland, you will not be able to choose Standard UK Delivery at checkout. In this case, do not hesitate to get in touch with our sales team to find out what special arrangements can be made.
Our standard delivery charges are:
- Basket value £0 - £150 ex VAT --- Delivery charge: £45 incl VAT
- Basket value £150 - £350 ex VAT--- Delivery charge: £35 incl VAT
- Basket value £350 - £500 ex VAT--- Delivery charge: £25 incl VAT
- Basket value over £500 ex VAT --- Delivery charge: £0
Products that are discontinued may be available to purchase on the website as some of our depots could still have them in stock. They will be marked as ‘POA’. Give our sales team a call on 01628 674910 or complete the product page POA form if you want to buy these. The delivery options will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. If we are experiencing issues with our stock or delivery, we will contact you with a suitable solution.
For made-to-order products such as partitioning walls and office doors, contact the sales team for more information and delivery timeframes. Please note that made-to-order products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
We offer quick and easy collections from a number of local depots close to you. We have collection points in all major UK towns and cities, stocking a wide range of products. Give our sales team a call before placing an order to find out where your nearest collection point is. Once the order has been placed, we will confirm by phone or email the full address of the collection point. Please be aware that not every single product will be available in every location.
Access for deliveries
We ask all our drivers to call 30 minutes prior to delivery. However, this is not always possible due to the nature of the goods and delivery options available. If this is going to be a problem, please contact our sales team on 01628 674910.
Because of the size and volume of the materials we sell, some of our deliveries may not turn up in the same vehicle. If this is an issue, please let us know and we will try to make alternative arrangements. Deliveries are made at the nearest curbside.
To keep our delivery process as smooth as possible, it is important for someone to be available at the delivery address and to help with any bulky materials such as plasterboard. We would need a contact number for the person receiving the delivery. This is in case we need any further assistance and somebody would also need to sign for the delivery.
If no one is available to receive the delivery, you will need to let us know by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org agreeing that you are happy for the products to be left in a safe place at your own risk.
For some brands we sell on our website, the order will be sent directly to the manufacturer who will use its own courier and specific delivery charges apply.
Free of charge delivery is provided for all orders delivered to our dealer partner's premises as named on their account.
Direct to site deliveries
Direct to site deliveries are available and are subject to a standard charge of £40/€45 per order. It is the dealer partner's responsibility to ensure there is site access, ability to unload and someone on site to sign for the delivery. The signature is accepted by us as valid proof of delivery in the right condition. Failure to meet the criteria may result in this service being withdrawn and/or re-delivery charge being passed on.
Goods that are damaged in transit must be marked on the delivery driver's paperwork prior to signing for the goods delivered, and reported to VELUX within seven (7) working days of the actual delivery date.
Faults that were not evident during an inspection upon receipt of goods must be reported to VELUX within one (1) month of the delivery date.
JELD-WEN products are delivered directly from Jeld-Wen either with their own fleet or by its nominated courier. They ship to all UK mainland areas within five to seven working days after the order was made.
Some orders to the following areas may take a bit longer: TN, ME, CT, BN, RH, NP, SA, CF, BH, SP, DT, CA, LA, SY, LL, LD, HR, TR, PL, EX, TA, TQ, AB, FK, DD, IV, TD, PH, PA, G, DG, ML, KA, KW, KY, EH.
You will be contacted within 24-48 hours after the order is placed to confirm a delivery date and time slot. Be sure to include your contact number and email address when you place your order. All orders will be delivered between Monday and Friday. Delivery will be made by two people and will be delivered to a room of choice.
Shire GB Garden Buildings
Once you place your Shire GB Building Services order with us, we will pass it straight to the manufacturer to process. You will then receive an email and a text message to book a delivery slot. Be sure to add your updated details when the order is made.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I miss my delivery?
We can organise another delivery for you. If the second delivery fails as well, charges will apply for any subsequent delivery attempts. These will be dependent on the delivery company. Please contact us if you have any questions or want to arrange another delivery.
Can you deliver on a weekend?
Yes, weekend deliveries are possible. But we would need to know by Friday 10 am at the latest, before the delivery weekend. Please give us a call on 01628 674910 to get this arranged. This will be subject to an additional delivery charge. Unfortunately, Shire GB Garden Buildings deliveries cannot be made on weekends or bank holidays.
Do you offer delivery on bank holidays?
Yes, as long as you let us know by 10 am the last working day before the bank holiday/weekend at the latest to avoid disappointment. Call our sales team on 01628 674910 to arrange this. Like weekend deliveries, this will be subject to an additional delivery charge.
My order hasn’t arrived - what should I do?
If your order hasn’t arrived on the day specified on your order confirmation, please get in touch with us directly by phone at 01628 674910 or by email at email@example.com. Alternatively, you can contact your Trade Account Manager who will be able to check the status and provide a solution.
What happens if I place an order on a bank holiday or weekend?
If you place an order with us on a weekend or bank holiday, this will be processed the next working day (Monday to Friday).
Can my Building Materials Nationwide order be rejected?
Yes. We reserve the right to reject an order. This may be due to a number of reasons including but not limited to product availability, delivery location or product quantity purchased. On occasions like this, we will provide a full refund.
