Description
The FlipFix Non-Fire Rated Plasterboard Access Panel with a Beaded Frame, engineered for seamless integration into joint-less plasterboard ceiling systems. The Beaded frame allows for tape and jointing/skim-coat plastering, ensuring a smooth finish. It features a Plasterboard faced door locked securely in place with a Budget Lock as standard, with alternative lock options available upon request. Powder Coated RAL 9010 30% Gloss finish is standard, while custom colors are available upon request.
Designed exclusively for inspection purposes, this panel is not intended for personnel access. It lacks fire and acoustic ratings and has not been air pressure or smoke tested.
Manufactured from Zintec Steel with a 0.9mm thick door and frame, installation is straightforward. Ensure a structural opening 5mm larger than the panel size, insert the panel, and tighten the FlipFix device to secure it to the plasterboard. Verify frame squareness, lock the door, and ensure a flush alignment. Before applying the plaster skim coat, it's crucial to apply joint filler and scrim tape to prevent cracking. This simple installation process saves time and ensures a professional finish for your project.
