Isorubber Top is a 3mm thick acoustic insulation that is adhered to a floor surface, absorbing impact sound and vibration at source. A durable acoustic underlay with a density of approximately 600Kg/m3, Isorubber Top has excellent impact energy absorption properties.
Isorubber Top is suitable for use with almost all types of soft and hard floor coverings and has been tested by SATRA and CERAM for use with vinyl coverings and ceramic tiles respectively. While it is not intended for use as a permanent exposed surface, Isorubber Top can be left as a ‘selling surface’ and has been ware tested by the British Carpet Technical Centre.
A composite of sustainably sourced, granulated cork and recycled waste rubber Isorubber Top has a Global Warming Potential of Zero and an Ozone Depletion Potential of Zero. Isorubber Top provides a means of using problematic waste material to the benefit of the environment.
Isorubber Top is an acoustic isolation and vibration reduction mat that provides a fixed resilient layer for floor construction. It is primarily used in concrete floor systems to achieve Approved Document Part E compliance, but can also be used in general sound proofing applications. It is also the main acoustic component of the Robust Detail E-FC-9 and E-FC-10 constructions.
Robust Detail E-FC-9
Robust Detail E-FC-9 is a fixed, resilient surface layer acoustic insulation system for precast plank floors. The system consists of 3mm thick Isorubber Top adhered to the screeded surface of a Precast Plank floor using Isobond Adhesive and an MF Ceiling below. This construction can also be pre-completion tested to achieve BREEAM credits.
Robust Detail E-FC-10
Robust Detail E-FC-10 is a fixed, resilient surface layer acoustic insulation system for solid insitu floors. The system consists of 3mm thick Isorubber Top adhered to the screeded or power floated surface of a solid insitu floor using Isobond Adhesive and an MF Ceiling below. E-FC-10 provides 3 Code for Sustainable Homes Credits upon registration. These credits are also applicable under the BREEAM multi-residential category, pre-completion testing is required for other BREEAM categories.
Isosonic Topfloor System
The Isosonic Topfloor system is a fixed, resilient surface layer acoustic insulation and ceiling treatment for precast plank, in-situ concrete, steel composite and beam & block floors for use in new-build and refurbishment applications. The system consists of 3mm thick Isorubber Top adhered to the floor surface using Isobond Adhesive and a metal frame or Isosonic ceiling treatment below.
