This product is made with a polyester film at its core and two outer layers made of foil laminate. It is then coated with a cold weather acrylic adhesive that has excellent bondage even at low temperatures. This product is used to seal the perimeters of vapour control membranes (such as Visqueen Fully Bonded Vapour Barrier) to different surfaces such as brick, concrete and timber. when installed correctly with Visqueen Check membrane (also known as Vapour Control Layers, VCLs), restricts vapour permeation and increases the thermal efficiency of buildings. Visqueenís Vapour Control system is part of a ìBuild tight- Ventilate rightî strategy and protects insulation from condensation damage.
