Shingle & Gravel

Shingle & Gravel

There is a difference between gravel and shingle, believe it or not. Gravel, by definition, is small fragments of rock used for laying on roads or as ballast. Whereas shingle is a collection of small stones with one end typically thicker than the other.

Pea shingle, generally speaking, is used for more decorative purposes, but can be used more practically as well. This type of shingle effectively keeps plants insulated during the winter, preventing the growth of weeds, and 20mm pea shingle can also be used for pipe bedding as well.

Pea gravel is regularly used for pathways, playgrounds and patios as well as other uses in high-traffic areas. It’s common to find pea gravel being used for pipe bedding as well.

Our 10mm and 20mm gravel bulk bags consist of stones that are ideal for mixing with other aggregates. Some other benefits of pea gravel and shingle are below:

  • Multi-purpose material
  • Prevent weeds growing
  • Suitable for outside storage
  • High quality
  • Easy to install
  • Versatile material

We offer discounts on large quantity orders, and our gravel prices and shingle prices are competitive across the market.
