Framed

Framed

Framed glass partitions are fully framed around the edges of the glass panels, offering a bit more structural definition due to the metal channels in place at the base. They are typically used in spaces that require more sound insulation, such as meeting rooms and larger, more expansive office fronts. The frames around the panels effectively compress the transmissions of sounds, creating less vibrations.

The full framing of the partitions is reinforced by dry joints. Dry joints are an alternative to an adhesive, wet joint; they are advantageous to the latter considering they’re easy to fit and structurally sound and they minimise gaps between the demountable glass partitions. They can either sit vertically (at either 90° or 180° angles) or as a T shape, between three different panels.

The greater the glass thickness, the better the sound insulation. A fully framed glass partition with double glazing will offer a superb amount of noise reduction, and if this is something you’re after, it might help to know that the added structural support of the frame is exceptionally easy to install. Consider framed glass partition walls for privacy, robustness and appropriate peace and quiet when needed.
