Levelling is absolutely crucial in the world of DIY. Done to establish whether a surface is horizontal (level) or vertical (plumb) in relation to the surface, this allows tradespeople to lay out projects accurately. Otherwise, you run the risk of them being uneven. This process is often carried out using spirit levels, which are sealed tubes containing alchohol, an air bubble and vials that you place in the middle of the object you're levelling. At slight inclinations, this bubble moves away from the marked centre position in the vials, enabling you to tell when something isn't horizontal or vertical. That said, laser levels have become increasingly widely used in recent times too, which project laser beams in a level line. Here at Building Materials, we have a wide range of levels for sale, incuding telescopic levelling rods, cross line lasers and rotation laser sets. We also sell many other levels tools, from line receivers and telescopic laser poles, to laser measures and aluminium mounting tripods.
